Managing Director of the Research Unit of German and European Food Law​

Born 1977 in Weimar; Studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen;  2004 Master of Business Law at the University of Göttingen; 2004 - 2006 legal clerkship and second state examination at the OLG Düsseldorf; 2007 admitted to the bar and lastly worked as a lawyer in the former IP boutique "Braun-Dullaeus Pannen Schrooten Haber" in Düsseldorf; 2009 - 2013 member of the DFG graduate school »Intellectual Property and Public Domain« at the University of Bayreuth; since 2013 managing director of the Research Unit for German and European Food Law at the University of Bayreuth; 2014 doctorate on the subject of "The right of prior use - history, legitimation, function in the patent system" published in 2015 by "Mohr Siebeck"; since 2016 co-author of the food law manual (Heilmittelwerbegesetz) published by Streinz / Kraus in C.H.Beck-Verlag; GRUR member since 2011 and member of the GRUR technical committee for pharmaceutical and food law since 2019. Since 2021 Lecturer for food law at the University of Applied Sciences in Weihenstephan Triesdorf as part of the lecture “Special aspects of food law”.
