Lecturer, Junior Researcher & Ph.D. Candidate

A passionate food lover whose tastes were honed in his native Italy, Alessandro's academic career has been shaped by his passion for food and its political, legislative and cultural implications. During his bachelor in Gastronomic Sciences, Alessandro had the opportunity to visit several countries (Canada, Cuba, Georgia, Italy and Greece) entering in contact with the modern challenges related to food production, commercialisation and consumption. After that, Alessandro decided to pursue his interest in Food Law. He completed a master's in Food Safety,Food Law & Regulatory Affairs at Wageningen University. Currently, Alessandro works as a researcher for the University of Bayreuth and is working on his Ph.D. research on the regulation of food innovations.​
